I owe my loyal readers an addendum, which RGE is waiting for as well, but I just have to get through with this open letter first:
When I meet up with fellow Turkey economists, one of the first topics of conversation that comes up is Turkey's rather surprising recent growth performance. Quite a few economists have taken a shot at this issue, but I truly believe it deserves a journalist's inquisitive mind. But I have not read a good attempt at this at the papers yet.
